PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS
The problem is your body will not break down fat cells that are filled with toxins because it doesn't want to let the toxins
back into the blood.
an overworked liver or the kidneys have trouble removing toxins from the body.  These toxins then get
deposited in the fat cells of the body.

To the right is a picture of a fat cell.  Notice the yellow and purple specs in the fat; those are toxins.
Your body will store toxins in the fat cells to protect the other organs and glands.
             What is Toxic Fat Syndrome??

Toxic Fat Syndrome is not a true syndrome but more of a play on words because one of the big
reasons why some people can't lose weight is due to a problem with toxins in the body.  Sometimes
Your body will lower its own metabolism to stop the breakdown of toxin filled fat cells. The correct thing to do is to get
the person on a good detox program that helps to support the detoxification of the; liver, kidneys, blood, lymph and cells.
However, some of the detox programs use
synthetic supplements that can actually add to the level of toxicity in certain cases.

[Note:  I find it interesting that this toxic fat cell kind of looks like a hamburger!!]

Testosterone is a hormone that helps to build muscle, breakdown fat and improve sex drive in both males and females.
Phthalates are known to block testosterone from working properly in the human body.  Lastly, phthlates have been shown to
damage the developing fetus in pregnant women.

To cut down on your exposure, avoid plastic bottles and toys labeled with the numbers 3 or 7, which often contain BPA or
phthalates, and canned foods, especially those with acidic contents like tomatoes. You should also avoid heating plastic in
microwaves.  Optimally, you should drink filtered tap water in a non-plastic container.
As plastic ages or is exposed to heat or stress, it can release small amounts of some of its ingredients.
Two ingredients that are of particular concern are bisphenol-a (BPA), used to strengthen some plastics,
and phthalates, used to soften others.

BPA and phthalates are endocrine disrupters that can mimic certain hormones and block others.  Too
much estrogen will cause fat to be stored around the lower abdomen, hips, thighs and buttocks.  Small
amount of BPA can act like large amounts of estrogen.

21 brands of multivitamins that are sold in the US and Canada were selected by
ConsumerLab.com and tested by independent laboratories, just 10 met the stated claims
on their labels or satisfied other quality standards.

Most worrisome, according to ConsumerLab.com president Dr. Tod Cooperman, is that one
product, The Vitamin Shoppe Multivitamins Especially for Women, was contaminated with
lead.

multivitamin before."

Other products studied were shown to have problems with absorbability, meaning they could potentially pass through the
body without being absorbed.  This could probably create the healthiest toilet water in the world but doesn't do much for your
body.

"Half the products were fine, half were not," said Cooperman.

ConsumerLab.com is a Westchester, N.Y.-based company that independently evaluates hundreds of health and nutrition products and
periodically publishes reviews.
